Welcome to the Sixth Form
On behalf of Boston Grammar School, I would like to welcome you to our Sixth Form pages; here you can explore the various elements and aspects of Sixth Form life.
Boston Grammar School Sixth Form aims to provide young men and women with the opportunities to develop themselves and to reach their own, true potential. All of our students will leave with three A levels or Level 3 BTECs (starting to be updated to the new AAQs). We have an excellent track record of our students moving on to university, high level apprenticeships or meaningful employment; and we aim to ensure that they learn the knowledge and skills that will equip them for successful and fulfilling careers. Information about the courses we offer can be found in the Sixth Form Prospectus.
By providing support and guidance, both academically and pastorally, we work hard to ensure that every student's journey through the Sixth Form years is both enjoyable and fruitful. We pride ourselves on the levels of care that we show our students: they will be very well looked after, being able to access staff in the Sixth Form Centre as they need to.
Our facilities are excellent and provide a suite of designated areas in which Sixth Form students may work when they have private study time. Recent additions to our Sixth Form Centre have given students extra working spaces and access to additional classrooms for the delivery of lessons and seminars.
What sets us apart from many other post-16 providers is our programme of scholarships. We award three separate scholarships to a total of around a dozen university-bound students every year. They are worth thousands of pounds a year, for at least the first three years of university study, making them highly desirable.
Do look through the information on these pages and please get in touch if you have any questions about any of the materials that you have read and explored. I hope that you will see that Boston Grammar School Sixth Form provides students with an excellent foundation upon which they are able to build a bright and secure future for themselves.
Mr Steven Barker
