Student Support

Pastoral support is given high priority. We have a dedicated Sixth Form Team of leaders and tutors, comprising 14 members of staff, who offer an 'open-door' approach where any student can seek advice or support at any time. There is a continuous programme of meetings and check-ins with those most in need of support, plus a number of dedicated student support groups.

We are innovative and pioneering in our mental health support, working at the forefront of efforts to develop the role of schools in this area. Our Head of Sixth Form attended the Lincolnshire 'No Wrong Door' event in November 2024, representing Lincolnshire schools amid delegates from local NHS trusts, the Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board and Lincolnshire County Council. In addition to whole-school efforts, such as our celebrated Hello Health! events, Sixth Form students have access to specialist help through our partnerships with charities such as Bro Pro and Kooth. Our student Wellbeing Team is a dynamic presence, offering additional avenues of support.

SEND students receive comprehensive support, including weekly 1:1 meetings with a mentor, in which they can organise their study time or consolidate their learning.

Disadvantaged students are supported through our proactive approach to engaging them with the 16-19 Bursary Fund and offering guidance on how best to spend that money.
