Great GCSE Results!

After exceptional performance at A-level, Boston Grammar School has seen further success in terms of great GCSE results.

This Y11 cohort has been exemplary, in all respects. The five years since they joined BGS have flown by and they've flourished throughout that time. It's great to see so many students obtaining well deserved results and moving on to A-levels, apprenticeships or other next steps in their careers. Proof that hard work and persistence pay off! The partnership between students, teachers and parents has played an integral role in securing success too, as it always does.

There were superb performances from Ollie Cooper, Dion Don, Daniel Featherstone, Lukas Fernandes, Jakub Fugas, Alexey Glavcev, Matthew Hunt, Henry Lawman, Jaroslavs Lepeho, Deniss Marcenko, Matas Naginevicius, Morgan Prynn, Ksawier Strzalkowski, Ignas Vasilevskis, Seth Walton and Thomas Woods. At a time when it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain the higher GCSE grades, these students excelled.

Impressive A-level results at Boston Grammar School

Boston Grammar School is proud to recognise and celebrate the brilliant results achieved by Y13 students in their A-level and BTEC qualifications.

The hard work and determined efforts needed, to achieve at the highest level, should not be underestimated. Students and teachers worked tirelessly over the last two years to prepare for the challenges posed by incredibly difficult and demanding examinations. Each student has a unique story to tell but they were all a pleasure to teach and care for.There were many superb individual performances. Particularly noteworthy are the achievements of Muhammad Bako, Gabriella Bedford, Godwin Biji, Millie Butterfield, Justin Cafe-Ebuen, Rhys Carter, Lucy Cooper, Charlie Griffiths, Lewis McManus, Demjan Mudragelov, Marie Ngonga, Joseph Okoye, Lochana Rathnayake, Mohammad Rivi, Alphai Shaju, Ashton Smith and Ahmad Zaidi.

Lochana Rathnayake's results were especially outstanding. Lochana achieved four A* grades in traditional 'gold standard' subjects, namely Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Students are now about to set off on a very wide range of career pathways. Some have decided to take up exciting apprenticeships or employment opportunities. The vast majority have chosen to pursue university courses in such fields as Medicine, Engineering, Economics, Law and Actuarial Science.

Gabriella Bedford obtained a place at the University of Oxford to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) after overcoming some of the most rigorous selection processes to fulfil her aspirations.

Congratulations to Boston Grammar School's students and staff for another year of remarkable GCSE results.

After the recent outstanding performance at A-level, the diligence of students and staff at Boston Grammar School has delivered further success, in terms of impressive GCSE results. Parental support has also been massively important in students' successes and everyone's hard work is greatly appreciated. Students and their teachers have worked conscientiously throughout the last two years, demonstrating determination and perseverance. All of our students' achievements deserve to be admired and celebrated. What matters most is that they take every opportunity and strive to fulfil their potential, whilst we teach and support them. Students face many pressures and the anxiety caused by examinations should not be overlooked. They should be commended for the way that they have conducted themselves throughout their time at BGS.

2024 A-level Results

Brilliant A-level results at Boston Grammar School!

Boston Grammar School is once again celebrating impressive A-level results.

This is the first cohort since 2019 to have sat both GCSE and A-level examinations. It is admirable that students have achieved so much given they faced similar disruption to previous year groups. Every student has undoubtedly overcome significant challenges in the last four years. There is a personal story behind every set of grades and all students deserve to be commended for their efforts and determination.

Students, staff and parents have worked together to ensure success. The class of 2024 has been superb in many respects throughout their time at BGS and they have personified the school's CARE values. The school is proud of the achievements of all our Y13 students who are now moving on to their preferred university courses, apprenticeships or employment.

There were many excellent individual performances. Particularly noteworthy are the achievements of Tanish Agrawal-Esteve, Akshaj Airon, Evie Blow, Harley Butterfield, Reece Cherian, Joshua Grummitt, Lily-Grace Horrey, Oliver Jackson, Karolis Jokubauskas, Abdul Kamran, Mabel Klonowski, Raimonda Lastauskaite, Josh Legate, Vidur Motkur, Joshua Pearson, Jack Robinson, Jamie Smith and Kacper Twardowski.

Akshaj Airon achieved five A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Psychology and the Extended Project Qualification, which is an incredible feat. Joshua Grummitt's outstanding performance has secured him a place at Cambridge to study History and Modern Languages.

2023 GCSE Results

Hard work leads to GCSE success at BGS

Y11 students, their parents and teachers have worked incredibly hard to ensure another set of excellent GCSE results at Boston Grammar School.

This year's GCSE cohort was in Y8 when COVID-19 struck and they've faced more disruption than any of the previous exam cohorts, since 2019. Throughout this difficult and challenging period they've shown exemplary character and resilience. The impact of lockdowns and enforced periods of absence, as well as more personal struggles should not be underestimated. In many ways this cohort is the one which has been most disadvantaged so far but they've done their best to surmount any obstacle, including the rushed return to 2019 grades. They are a fantastic group of young people whose conscientious efforts have been admirable!

There were many outstanding individual performances, including, Mohamed Abouelazm, Muhammad Bako, Godwin Biji, Justin Cafe-Ebuen, Rhys Carter, Dominic Dugdale, David Kandratovich, Igor Pawlik, Mikolaj Pyrzanowski, Jack Read, Mohammad Rizvi, Alphai Shaju, Ashton Smith, Robert Wright and Syed Zaidi.

2023 A-level Results

Excellent A-level results at Boston Grammar School!

Students and staff at Boston Grammar School are celebrating excellent A-level results, once again.

After four years of disruption, it is commendable that students have succeeded in achieving so much. None of this year's A-level students sat GCSE examinations and they've all faced unprecedented challenges. Behind each grade is a personal story, entailing hard work and perseverance. It is especially pleasing that so many students have done so well, in spite of the government's decision to speedily return to pre-pandemic grades. In many ways, this year's students have been more disadvantaged than those in the previous three years, having faced the impact of COVID-19 since they were in Y10.

Students and staff have shown true grit and their industry has reaped well deserved rewards. We are proud of the achievements of all our Y13 students. The vast majority of students are moving on to their preferred university courses, apprenticeships or employment. Six students have been accepted on to medicine and dentistry courses at their chosen universities.

There were many superb individual performances. 2022 GCSE Results

After the recent excellent performance at A-level, Boston Grammar School has seen further success in terms of superb GCSE results. Students and staff have worked tirelessly over the last two years, overcoming incredible challenges created by the COVID pandemic. It's the first time in three years that students have sat GCSE examinations and it's a testament to their hard work and determination that they've done so well.

There were outstanding performances from Tanish Agrawal Esteve, Akshaj Airon, Harley Butterfield, Reece Cherian, Joshua Grummitt, Oliver Jackson, Akhil Joachim, Karolis Jokubauskas, Abdul Kamran, Femmi Kisanji, Michal Klonowski, Josh Legate, Harley Leggatt, Vidur Motkur, Jeremy Nichols, Joshua Pearson, Thomas Raitt, Aayan Sarwar, Jamie Smith and Kieran Varatheesan. Akshaj Airon and Joshua Grummitt achieved grade 9 in all of the subjects they studied. An incredible and immense success at a time when it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain the higher GCSE grades.

2022 A-level Results

Resilience and determination at BGS

Boston Grammar School is celebrating excellent and well-deserved A-level results, which reflect the resilience and determination of our students and staff.

I am grateful to all our students and my colleagues for their conscientious efforts. Their hard work has been constant and admirable, throughout the most difficult period to ever affect education, locally, nationally and internationally. It has been a very tough time. The uncertainties and problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have been tremendous and all Y13 students deserve to be commended for the way they have risen to such unpredictable challenges, which have affected them over three academic years. It should be remembered that these students did not sit GCSE examinations and so this is the first set of public exams to be faced by this cohort. We are proud of all BGS' Y13 students!

There were numerous noteworthy, individual performances. Particularly impressive were Siddharth Anand (A*A*A*A*), Jessica Burn (A*A*AAB), Elliot Coldwell (A*A*A*A), Max Doherty (A*AA), Jakub Dombrowski (A*A*A*A), James Duffield (AAA), Leon Harness (AAA), Christopher Jackson (A*AAA), Kishore Murugesh (A*A*A*A*), Aman Parvez (AAA), Abby Simpson-Tunnard (A A Distinction*), Katherine Tomes (AAA) and Bekzod Zaribbaev (A*AA).

All of these outstanding grades reflect students' exemplary approach to their studies. Jessica has secured a place at the University of Oxford to study Experimental Psychology, whilst Kishore has been accepted by the University of Cambridge to study Medicine. 2021 GCSE Results

Outstanding GCSE results at Boston Grammar School

Boston Grammar School's outstanding GCSE results are a testament to the graft, diligence and care of students and staff. Their efforts have been exemplary, especially given the additional numerous challenges posed by the COVID pandemic. The fact that students have surmounted so many obstacles and achieved so much, is something which deserves to be celebrated and admired.

The last two academic years have been unpredictable and difficult. The resilience and perseverance which have been demonstrated during the toughest of times is something we should all be proud of. Every student has dealt with individual issues as well as the general ones facing all members of our community. Each and every student deserves to be congratulated on their successes over the last eighteen months.

2021 A-level Results

Hard work and perseverance pays off at BGS

Boston Grammar School's A-level students have performed brilliantly this year! The hard work of students and staff has given rise to many impressive grades.

Students have worked their socks off to achieve superb results, considering the unprecedented difficulties they've faced. All students missed at least seven months of face-to-face learning, as a result of the COVID crisis. For many, there were additional, individual struggles. Extra periods of self-isolation caused by catching COVID or by being a close contact of someone who had contracted the illness, affected many.

Nobody should underestimate the resilience and perseverance shown by all of the students and their teachers throughout the last eighteen months. It has involved a massive transformation in teaching and learning. Students and staff adapted in an exemplary fashion to virtual learning, though nothing about the pandemic has been easy to grapple with.

There were many outstanding results which have allowed the vast majority of students to pursue their next steps, whether that's university courses, apprenticeships or employment. The following students achieved three or more A/A* grades, which is a magnificent feat.

2020 GCSE Results

Outstanding GCSE grades at Boston Grammar School

Year 11 students at Boston Grammar School have been rewarded with well deserved, brilliant GCSE grades in all subject areas. Their industry and commitment, along with the excellent teaching and support provided by staff and parents, have ensured a record proportion of 7 to 9 grades.

After the recent turbulence and uncertainty which has caused such anxiety for everyone, especially students themselves, it is wonderful to be able to recognise and celebrate so much success. Over the last five years it has been a privilege to work with this unique cohort and we are all incredibly proud of their achievements. Every student has been an asset to the school and we wish them every success in their future academic or other careers.

The A-level grades awarded last week have been amended and it is now possible to confirm that thirty five students at Boston Grammar School achieved at least three A*-B grades. These include Evren Akyuz, Erika Bandaleviciute, Tomasz Cendrowski, Bethany Coldwell, Ryan Corrado, Will Craven, Emmie Doughty, Millie Goy, Ryan Halle, Harry Hopkins, Nitin Joachim, Jade Kemp, Emilia Kicinger, Luna Lattimore, Matthew Leachman, Yitong Li, Megan Lote, Mateusz Luc, Ben Mepham, Pierce Murray, Kirils Mustermans, Sam Olamijulo, William Ostler, James Pauly, William Pettitt, Will Richardson, Finley Roberts, Eimantas Rucinskas, Beenish Sanjrani, Jose Sraraiva Vaz, Nikola Skrzypczynska, Annija Stoka, Luke Waddington, Louis Whitlam and Zoe Worthington. To achieve such high grades consistently across a range of subjects is a testament to the hard work and constant endeavours of our students and their teachers.

Will Craven and Zoe Worthington both achieved three A* grades. Harry Hopkins was awarded four A* grades and has been successful in gaining a place at Cambridge University to study Economics. We wish all of our Y13 students every success for the future!

2019 GCSE Results

There has been a big increase in the number of top GCSE grades at Boston Grammar School. Students and staff have worked tirelessly to achieve excellent results once again. I'd like to thank everyone involved for their industry over the last two years. GCSEs are becoming more demanding with each year that passes and it's the combined efforts of students, teachers and parents which makes success possible. 2019 A-level Results

Boston Grammar School's students have achieved impressive A-level results in Biology, English, Geography, German, History, Mathematics, Economics, French, History, PE, Polish, Spanish and the Extended Project Qualification.

The determined and conscientious efforts of students and staff have led to many excellent achievements, once again. At a time when examinations are becoming more and more challenging it is fantastic to see students reaping the rewards of their industry. The amount of work involved with increasingly difficult A-levels should not be underestimated. They provide opportunities for our students which allow them to make aspirational choices and to determine their own futures. We are all indebted to the unstinting support and inspiration of their teachers.

There have been many outstanding performances. Particularly impressive were Seth Greeves (A*A*A), Will Nuttell (A*AA), Will Balsom (AAAB) and Andrea Barnes (AABB). The Y13 cohort has been a pleasure to work with and we are delighted so many of our students achieved excellent grades and are now going on to some of the country's top universities.
